Rivet Guns

Use an air rivet gun to join & secure materials together. These guns are known as a pneumatic riveter, pneumatic pop rivet gun or air riveter, used to drive rivet pins. Our rivet gun range includes leading brands such as Bahco, RS PRO & PREVOST.How are they used?Air rivet guns are powered by an air compressor via an air hose feed, during application a rivet pin should be inserted into the riveter, place the pinhead into the hole of the materials you wish to secure then squeeze the trigger (for a pneumatic riveter one pull of the trigger is usually enough). This operation pulls the pinhead then the rivet pin expands, the excess stem breaks off leaving the rivet permanently fixed in position holding the two pieces of material together. How do they work?Pneumatic rivet guns – Regulated air passes through a throttle valve which is typically controlled by a trigger in the handgrip. When the trigger is squeezed, the throttle valve opens, allowing the pressurised air to flow into the piston. This provides a higher amount of force to the rivet reducing the risk of damage and creating uniformity in the positioning and depth of the rivets.Air riveters – are an essential air tool for heavy-duty applications. If you have a large number of rivets to set this is the ideal option, quick and easy and virtually fatigue-free.Slow-hitting gun – For use on hard rivets, slow-hitting rivet guns deliver repeated blows to the rivet as long as the trigger is compressed. Averaging approximately 2,500 bpm (blows per minute) offering increased control, accuracy and less kick than guns that deliver a single blow.Fast-hitting gun – These operate in a similar way to the slow-hitting versions, but at a higher rate of speed. The faster blows are less intense than the slower blows, making this type of gun more appropriate for rivets made of softer materials. Rivet guns are used in Industrial applications, workshops, and garages.
